All bets are off the table when high-dose testosterone and its many metabolites are used illegally, such as with anabolic steroid abuse. Strokes, embolisms, and cardiovascular disease are all more likely, as is sudden death, and liver and kidney disease. 44 In women, acne, irreversible deepening of the voice, baldness, increased facial hair, enlarged sex organs, breast reduction, depression, and infertility have all been reported. In adult men that abuse anabolic steroids, acne, baldness, permanent infertility, gynecomastia, loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, testicle shrinkage, and profuse sweating are all reported side effects. Increased testicular cancer hasn't been reported, though. 45,46
Great article, well written and god conclusions of collected data.
How ever I am still curious if creating a “shortage” of sperm and decrease of testosterone by cycles of repeated ejaculations during a short period of time, maybe during the course of hours followed by “rest-days” if that over time would provoke the body to produce more Testosterone and sperm in a response to “progressive overload”.
Since this is the way the body handles a lot other things that challenges it´s system with everything from resistance-training, “repeated skin-abrasion”, bacteria and even some toxins.
When it comes to building your testosterone naturally, diet plays a huge role. It’s very easy to be misinformed when it comes to nutrition, especially given the multitude of internet claims that fats and cholesterol are evil. The truth is, a diet rich in essential fatty acids and HDL cholesterol has actually been shown to increase testosterone levels in men. Eggs are a great source of these macronutrients, as well as protein and a number of beneficial vitamins and minerals. Whether you drink them raw, or pull a Ron Swanson and have a three-egg scramble for a snack, eggs incorporated into your diet will help you be a more of a manly man. Just don’t forgo the yolk!
